Army troops spread every corner of Pakistan to strictly enforce Covid SOPs: DG ISPR
Director-General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Babar Iftikhar said that Pakistan Army troops today (Monday) at 6 am to assist civil institutions in the implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) against coronavirus. They have reached all corners of the country.
Addressing a press conference in Rawalpindi, he said that teams have been formed which will be led by Brigadier at the administrative division level and Lieutenant Colonel at the district level.
The DG ISPR said that the provincial court committees would hold weekly meetings to discuss the overall situation and analyze the areas with high positive rates, after which a plan of action would be decided.
“Troops are to help civilian agencies and law enforcement agencies. Last time, the Pakistan Army had decided not to claim any internal security allowance during the deployment, He said.
We will go to every corner of Pakistan to ensure the safety of civilians. ”
General Iftikhar said that the primary responsibility for enforcing precautionary measures against the coronavirus and the law and order situation lies with the civil institutions. He added that the Pakistan Army would cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies as emergency responders to curb the spread of epidemics.
The DG ISPR said that deployments to better cities have been made in 16 cities where the positivity rate is “very high”. Islamabad, Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, Charsadda, and Swabi in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa included in these cities. In Punjab, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, and Gujranwala. Hyderabad in Sindh and Karachi. Quetta, Muzaffarabad, and Kashmir.
He emphasized that the precautionary measures against coronavirus were “the only effective response to the epidemic”.

ڈی جی آئی ایس پی آر کا کہنا تھا کہ صوبائی عدالت کی کمیٹیاں مجموعی صورتحال پر تبادلہ خیال کرنے اور اعلی مثبت شرحوں والے علاقوں کا تجزیہ کرنے کے لئے ہفتہ وار اجلاس منعقد کریں گی جس کے بعد لائحہ عمل کا فیصلہ کیا جائے گا۔
