Pakistan’s growth rate will be 2pc this year according to the ADB

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) Wednesday forecast that Pakistan’s GDP will grow by 2% this year and that successful vaccination and stabilization measures will be implemented to avoid it.

ADB said in its flagship Asian Development, “Assuming successful rollout of vaccines and implementation of economic reforms under the stabilization program with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), P is expected to increase by 4%. ” Outlook (ADO) 2021.

However, the economic outlook is subject to negative risks, depending on the success of permanent control measures and the achievement of the target of 70pc vaccination of the population by the end of December 2021.

The World Bank’s ADB forecast is close to 1.3pc and the IMF’s 1.5pc, compared to the Ministry of Finance and the State Bank of Pakistan’s growth estimates of 2.9pc and 3pc, respectively.

It said inflation would ease to 8.7pc this year from 10.7pc in the previous financial year. It states that real GDP grew by 1.9pc in FY2011 and contracted to 0.4pc in FY2010 due to measures taken to curb economic activity and earlier economic stabilization measures. The Manila-based lending agency has forecast a growth rate of 9.5 percent in the South Asian region this year, led by India at 11 percent and the Maldives at 13 percent. Bangladesh’s economy will grow by 6.8 percent, while Afghanistan and Nepal will grow by 3 percent of GDP and Sri Lanka by 4.1 percent. Bhutan’s economy will be contracted up to 3.4pc. Economic powerhouse China is projected to grow by 8.1pc this year.

The ADB said Pakistan’s agriculture is projected to grow slowly, mainly due to heavy rains, pest infestations, and continuous shrinkage of cotton in the cultivated area. Other major crops, especially rice, sugarcane, and maize, are surpassing production in FY2021 after subsidies by the government through agricultural inputs and bank credit.

اے ڈی بی نے اپنے فلیگ شپ ایشین ڈویلپمنٹ میں کہا ، “بین الاقوامی مالیاتی فنڈ (آئی ایم ایف) کے ساتھ استحکام کے پروگرام کے تحت ویکسین کا کامیاب رول آؤٹ اور معاشی اصلاحات پر عمل پیرا ہونے کی توقع ہے ، پی میں 4٪ اضافے کی توقع ہے۔ “آؤٹ لک (ADO) 2021۔

اس نے کہا ہے کہ افراط زر رواں مالی سال کے 10.7pc سے 8.7pc ہوجائے گی۔ اس میں کہا گیا ہے کہ مالی سرگرمی اور اس سے قبل کے معاشی استحکام کے اقدامات کو روکنے کے اقدامات کی وجہ سے مالی سال  F میں حقیقی جی ڈی پی میں 1.9 فیصد اضافہ ہوا اور مالی سال 2010 میں 0.4pc پر معاہدہ ہوا۔ پہلے سے وبائی بیماریوں سے متاثر تھا۔ “کرنسی کی قدر میں کمی اور کساد بازاری بڑھتی گئی۔”

منیلا پر مبنی قرض دینے والی ایجنسی نے رواں سال جنوبی ایشین خطے میں 9.5 فیصد کی شرح نمو کی پیش گوئی کی ہے ، جس کی قیادت میں ہندوستان 11 فیصد اور مالدیپ 13 فیصد ہے۔ بنگلہ دیش کی معیشت 6.8 فیصد ، جبکہ افغانستان اور نیپال میں جی ڈی پی کے 3 فیصد اور سری لنکا میں 4.1 فیصد ترقی ہوگی۔ بھوٹان کی معیشت کو 3.4pc تک معاہدہ کیا جائے گا۔ اقتصادی پاور ہاؤس چین میں اس سال 8.1 پی سی تک اضافے کا امکان ہے۔

اے ڈی بی نے کہا کہ پاکستان کی زراعت میں آہستہ آہستہ ترقی کا امکان ہے ، اس کی بڑی وجہ کاشت شدہ علاقے میں تیز بارشوں ، کیڑوں کے اففائش اور روئی کی مسلسل سکڑاؤ ہے۔ حکومت کی طرف سے زرعی آدانوں اور بینک کریڈٹ کے ذریعہ سبسڈی کے بعد دوسری بڑی فصلیں ، خاص طور پر چاول ، گنے اور مکئی ، مالی سال 2021 میں پیداوار کو پیچھے چھوڑ رہی ہیں۔
