When Joon Gi was a student in high school, he went to see a production of Hamlet, which is what initially sparked his interest in the performing arts. Instead of enrolling in college, he decided to move to Seoul in order to pursue his dream of working in the entertainment industry. Joon Gi held a number of different part-time jobs over the course of the subsequent couple of years before he was finally accepted into the Seoul Institute of the Arts. Joon Gi began his conscription into the Army of the Republic of Korea on May 3, 2010, in order to fulfil the requirements of his mandatory military duty. His initial request for a delay was based on the fact that he was in the middle of filming “Grand Prix,” that he had been offered a role in the television drama “Faith,” and that he was scheduled to represent Korea as a goodwill ambassador at the 2010 Shanghai Expo. The Military Manpower Administration, however, would not accept his request and instead sent him a final notice for enlisting, which caused him to withdraw from both projects. Joon Gi was discharged from active duty on February 16, 2012, after having served for a total of 21 months.

22. Lee Seung Gi
Singer, actor, and host in addition to being an artist, Lee Seung Gi is from South Korea. Lee, also referred to as the “Ballad Prince,” has achieved success with a number of songs over his career, including “Because You’re My Woman,” “Will You Marry Me,” and “Return.” As a result of his main roles in numerous successful dramas broadcast throughout Asia, he has received even more acclaim for his acting abilities and achieved widespread fame across the globe. Jeonju’s Yi clan is Lee’s ancestry, and he is a descendant of theirs. The Joseon Dynasty was governed by this clan (Modern Day Korea).
On February 20, 2009, Lee completed his studies at Dongguk University and obtained a degree in International Trade and Commerce. Lee began his necessary 21 months of military service on February 1, 2016, as an active-duty soldier. On October 31, 2017, he was officially released from service.
Lee has been chosen as one of the 200 actors (100 males and 100 females) to participate in the Korean actors 200 campaign, which is being organised by the Korean Film Council. 23. Gong Yoo
Gong Ji Chul, who performs under the stage name Gong Yoo, is an actor working in South Korea who is represented by Management SOOP Entertainment. He attended Kyung Hee University and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in drama there. In the year 2000, Gong Yoo began his career in the entertainment industry by working as a video jockey on Mnet. In the year 2001, he made his acting debut in the television series “School 4”. After that, Gong Yoo appeared in a variety of supporting parts in movies and television dramas, and in 2004, she hosted the music program “Music Camp.” The role that would prove to be Gong Yoo’s breakthrough was then offered to him in the romantic comedy “Coffee Prince” on MBC. Because of the success of the drama, he is now recognized as a Hallyu star and has cemented his position as a leading man.
After that, on January 14, 2008, Gong Yoo enrolled for the mandatory military service, which lasted until December 8, 2009. 24. Kim Myung Soo
Kim Myung Soo, better known by his stage name L, is a singer and actor from South Korea. He made his debut in the music industry in 2010 as a member of the boy band INFINITE and in 2014 as a member of the band’s offshoot INFINITE F. Kim received the “Proud Daekyung University Student Award” along with members Kim Sung-kyu, Sungyeol, Hoya, and Dongwoo after graduating from Daekyung University on February 15, 2013, with a major in practical music. The award was given in the hope that the group would continue to grow and bring prestige to the school. Kim attended Duk Soo High School before going on to Daekyung University.
It was in the Japanese drama Jiu Keishicho Tokushuhan Sousagakari that he had his acting debut in the year 2011, and it was broadcast on TV Asahi in the month of July. L published a photo essay book on May 15, 2013, named L’s Bravo Viewtiful. The book contains photographs that L took during a trip that lasted for 93 days. The book was a huge success, and it quickly rose to the top of the pre-order rankings at online retailers like YES24 and Kyobo. In the meantime, he had a second photography book published.
L’s contract with Woolim Entertainment was terminated on the 18th of August, 2019. L reported for his mandatory military service on February 22, 2021, and enlisted in the Republic of Korea Marine Corps in order to fulfill his obligations. On February 3, the day before he reported for military duty, he issued his debut single album, Memory.
25. Seo In Guk
Story J Company is an entertainment agency that represents the Korean pop singer and actor Seo In Guk. After he was crowned the victor of the very first season of the television show Superstar K, Jellyfish Entertainment decided to work with him. In 2012, Seo made his onscreen acting debut with a supporting role in KBS’s “Love Rain.” His acting breakthrough came in “Reply 1997,” which he starred in the following year.
Seo was born in Ulsan and lived the majority of his childhood in a financially precarious environment. His mother worked as a recycler, and his father was a welder. Seo is a 2nd dan in Hapkido in addition to having boxing and mixed martial arts training from school and previous experience as a ssireum wrestler. At the age of 10, he made the decision to pursue a career in singing after being moved to do so by the work of the Korean rock artist Kim Jung Min. After doing performances at social gatherings with his family and at events hosted by his school, he moved on to study Applied Music at Daebul University while simultaneously trying out for roles with various entertainment companies. He endured a period of bulimia as a result of the persistent rejection he received and the advice to reduce his weight.
In February of 2017, it was reported that Seo had been given his formal date to enrol in the military, which was determined to be on March 28th. In spite of this, Seo was found to be suffering from osteochondritis dissecans, a disorder that affects both the bones and the cartilage. As a consequence of this, he was given a health grade of Grade 5 and was excused from his obligation to serve in the military.
