Jacob Sartorius Tattoos
Jacob Sartorius was motivated to get a small crown tattooed on the right side of his neck, just below his ear, by the basketball player Lebron James. He read a book on how LeBron James survived a difficult upbringing to become “the king of his craft” when he was 10 years old, as stated in a post on Instagram (which has since been deleted), but the post has since been removed.
“When I was about ten years old I read this book about LeBron James called ‘King of the court,’ and it talked about LeBron’s upbringing and how he had been through so much yet became the king of his craft,” he said, adding, “This tattoo shows me that no matter what I’ve been through I will strive to be the king of my court..”
In addition, he has a tattoo of a skull and a butterfly on the left wrist. We did some study on tattoos, and it turned out that butterflies symbolize both freedom and good luck. Furthermore, the pairing of these two symbols in this stunning tattoo design can be interpreted to represent the ongoing conflict between good and evil.
On the other side of the same arm is a tattoo of a cupid with the words “Lost But Found.”
Tattoos are so powerful. Sometimes I'll ask people the meanings behind their tattoos and the stories and memories are so amazing.

Jacob Sartorius’ tat was inspired by LeBron James
Jacob Sartorius, a talented young man, recently revealed (via Just Jared Jr.) that when he was 10 years old, he read a book about how LeBron James overcame a difficult childhood to become “the king of his craft.” The post has since been removed from the Instagram page of Jacob Sartorius, but it was originally published by Just Jared Jr. It would appear that James’ experience had such a profound effect on Sartorius that even now, many years later, it serves as a reminder to keep moving forward in the direction of greatness.
The photograph that was removed from the account was a black-and-white illustration of a miniature crown, and it was accompanied by a reflective comment. Underneath the photo, Sartorius commented, “When I was about 10, I read this book about LeBron James called ‘King of the court,’ and it talked about LeBron’s background and how he had been through so much yet became the king of his profession” (via Seventeen). “This tattoo reminds me that no matter what challenges life throws at me, I will always fight to be the king of my court,” said the wearer.
Because Sartorius has a history of struggling with periods of insecurity and bullying, the tattoo takes on an even deeper meaning for him.
