Islamophobic attack: Pakistan and Canada mourn the death of four Pakistanis Muslims

 

A man with a truck slammed into and killed four members of a Pakistani Muslim family in the Ontario province of Canada. The Canadian police and officials said it was a premeditated attack motivated by “hatred”. A 20 years old young man wearing a vest “like body armour”  came to the scene on Sunday evening.  Detective Superintendent Paul Waight said he was arrested at a mall in London, Ontario where the attack happened. He also added that this was a planned attack motivated by hate. He said in a news conference that these victims were targeted only because they were Muslim.

Bill Blair Canada’s Minister of Public Safety  said “horrific act of Islamophobia.” “They believe the family was targeted because of their religion. He also added that the killer was motivated by his hatred of Muslims. Madiha Salman of age 44 had post-graduate work in the field of civil and environmental engineering at Western University in London, as well as her husband, Salman Afzaal of age 46. Their daughter Yumna Salman of 15 years old was also killed with her grandmother of age 74.

Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan strongly condemned the killing of four Pakistani Muslim families in Canada. The Prime Minister said the attack on the Muslim community revealed the growing Islamophobia in Western countries which needs to be countered holistically by the world community.

Saddened to learn of the killing of a Muslim Pakistani-origin Canadian family in London, Ontario. This condemnable act of terrorism reveals the growing Islamophobia in Western countries. Islamophonia needs to be countered holistically by the international community.

While Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau promised to take action against far-right groups after a hate-motivated attack. Justin Trudeau said This was a terrorist attack motivated by hatred in the heart of one of our communities.

Pakistan Foreign Ministry Office condemned the killing of a Pakistan-origin family and said it was another manifestation of the systematic rise in Islamophobia in western countries.

کینیڈا کے صوبہ اونٹاریو میں ایک ٹرک کے ساتھ ایک شخص نے ایک پاکستانی مسلم کنبے کے چار افراد کو ٹکرایا اور اسے ہلاک کردیا۔ کینیڈا کی پولیس اور عہدیداروں نے کہا کہ یہ ایک قبل از وقت حملہ تھا جسے “نفرت” نے حوصلہ دیا۔ ایک بیس سال کا نوجوان بنیان “جیسے باڈی کوچ” پہنے اتوار کی شام منظر پر آیا۔ جاسوس سپرنٹنڈنٹ پاول ویٹ نے بتایا کہ انہیں لندن ، اونٹاریو کے ایک مال میں گرفتار کیا گیا تھا جہاں یہ حملہ ہوا تھا۔ انہوں نے یہ بھی مزید کہا کہ یہ ایک منصوبہ بند حملہ تھا جس سے نفرت پیدا ہوئی تھی۔ انہوں نے ایک نیوز کانفرنس میں کہا کہ ان متاثرین کو صرف اس لئے نشانہ بنایا گیا کہ وہ مسلمان تھے۔

بل بلیئر کینیڈا کے وزیر پبلک سیفٹی نے کہا کہ “اسلامو فوبیا کا خوفناک عمل۔” “ان کا خیال ہے کہ ان کے مذہب کی وجہ سے اس خاندان کو نشانہ بنایا گیا تھا۔ انہوں نے یہ بھی مزید کہا کہ قاتل ان کی مسلمانوں سے نفرت سے متاثر تھا۔ 44 سالہ مدیحہ سلمان نے لندن میں ویسٹرن یونیورسٹی میں سول اور ماحولیاتی انجینئرنگ کے شعبے میں پوسٹ گریجویٹ کام کیا تھا ، اس کے ساتھ ہی اس کے شوہر سلمان افضال کی عمر 46 سال ہے۔ ان کی بیٹی 15 سال کی یمن سلمان بھی 74 سال کی دادی کے ساتھ مار گئیں۔

پاکستانی وزیر اعظم عمران خان نے کینیڈا میں چار پاکستانی مسلم خاندانوں کے قتل کی شدید مذمت کی۔ وزیر اعظم نے کہا کہ مسلم کمیونٹی پر حملے سے مغربی ممالک میں بڑھتی ہوئی اسلامو فوبیا کا انکشاف ہوا ہے جس کی عالمی برادری کو جامع طور پر مقابلہ کرنے کی ضرورت ہے۔

جبکہ کینیڈا کے وزیر اعظم جسٹن ٹروڈو نے نفرت پر مبنی حملے کے بعد دائیں بازو کے گروہوں کے خلاف کارروائی کا وعدہ کیا ہے۔ جسٹن ٹروڈو نے کہا کہ یہ ایک دہشت گرد حملہ تھا جس سے ہماری ایک برادری کے دل میں نفرت پیدا ہوئی تھی۔

پاکستان کی وزارت خارجہ کے دفتر نے ایک پاکستانی نژاد خاندان کے قتل کی مذمت کرتے ہوئے کہا ہے کہ یہ مغربی ممالک میں اسلامو فوبیا میں منظم اضافے کا ایک اور مظہر ہے
